Anita Carnell is based in Norfolk and has exhibited her inspiring work around the world gaining many accolades for her ability to capture beauty with striking simplicity by exploring the empty, the light and the shadow, converging them to create exquisite hand-stitched works of art.
The artworks
Anita uses traditional embroidery techniques and British historical materials, to create artworks. She combines gilded wires, onto organic plant-based vegan cactus leather, an environmentally friendly and sustainable material.
Her unique style of hand sculpting these materials manifests in remarkable, inspirational pieces that display the ephemeral, fragile beauty of the spaces in between.
